There are two manuals included in this high school biology curriculum. They include what you need to use as a tool to help your high school student achieve a well-rounded year of studying biology. The Student Manual has lists of questions for each week for your student to research. This is NOT a textbook, but a guide the student follows to discover everything he/she needs to know that encompasses a thorough study of high school biology. I recommend the use of the local library and the internet. If neither of these options are available or you prefer, then a textbook can be used. The student manual also contains the directions for each week's dissection and/or microscope work. The Parent Manual contains a list of supplies that are necessary for the entire year. The information that the student needs to have discovered in his/her research is also included. Quizzes and end-of-semester exams are also available for you to give your student. Of course the answers for all the quizzes and exams are included in the parent manual for you. I have even included a parent's dissection manual within your volume so that you can check your student's dissections or help your student locate all the specimen's "parts". I have included a discount if you choose to buy the year's worth of dissection materials directly from me with the purchase of your curriculum set. If you prefer to order elsewhere, the Parent Manual does suggest alternative suppliers for the dissection materials. People often ask me where I recommend for the purchasing of microscopes. I always recommend Great Scopes to buy your microscope. The owner's prices are reasonable and he is more than willing to help you with the right microscope for your needs. Tell him you heard about him from Bridget! Syllabus
